Control and optimization for carbon trading and electricity

First of all the CMA is working on variations of optimum approaches for carbon pricing that will enable the carbon value and its sensitivity to different parameters (nature of the mix, volatility of the prices on the CO2 market, tax level ...) to be assessed. In collaboration with the TOSCA project (INRIA) it is developing a pricing approach by indifference price leading to the solving of a Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation. Read more...

Then the CMA took part in the European project OPTIMATE, which groups together European electricity transport managers and academic partners. The aim of this project was to build a platform to analyze different ways of integrating all electricity markets in Europe into one single market from both a technical and regulatory viewpoint.
