Organization of the XVII International Conference on Stochastic Programming (ICSP)’s tutorials by the Center for Applied Mathematics (CMA) and the Systems and Control (CAS)

Welington DE OLIVEIRA (CMA Mines Paris – PSL) and François PACAUD (CAS Mines Paris – PSL) are organizing this year’s ICSP Stochastic Optimization tutorials. They will take place at Mines Paris – PSL (60 Bd Saint-Michel, 75272 Paris.) on July 26 and 27 2025.

ICSP is the main conference on Stochastic Programming, organized by the Stochastic Programming Society — part of the Mathematical Optimization Society. The XVII International Conference on Stochastic Programming (ICSP) will occur in Champs-sur-Marne at École des Ponts, from July 28 to August 1, 2025.

In line with previous editions of the ICSP conference, this year’s event will feature a weekend of tutorial courses led by prominent researchers in the field:
  • Stochastic Optimization for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence | Guanghui Lan,  Georgia Tech
  • Physics-Based Stochastic Optimization: Theory and Methods | Caroline Geiersbach, University of Hamburg
  • Stochastic Programming Models in the Energy Sector | Andy Philpott,  University of Auckland
  • Robust Decisions in Uncertain Dynamic Environments | Wolfram Wiesemann, Imperial College Business School
The CMA is excited to invite students, practitioners, and researchers to join our Tutorials on Stochastic Optimization, taking place on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Mines Paris PSL (60 Bd Saint-Michel, 75272 Paris.) This event is intended for individuals who are keen to explore the theory, methods, and applications of optimization under uncertainty.

The tutorials are free to attend, but registration is mandatory as the number of participants is limited.
